Our Activities

Advocacy for Land Rights Protection:

At MOFACIG, we recognize the importance of safeguarding the land rights of indigenous communities in Mukunda Village and beyond. Our advocacy efforts aim to raise awareness about the challenges faced by local populations in protecting their ancestral lands and promoting sustainable land management practices.

Through strategic partnerships with local stakeholders and advocacy campaigns, we advocate for policies and regulations that uphold the rights of indigenous peoples to their traditional lands. We work closely with community members to document land ownership, resolve land disputes, and ensure that land tenure systems are equitable and transparent.

Our advocacy initiatives have yielded tangible results, including the successful granting of a land concession to the villages of Missaka Chiefdom through Presidential Decree. We continue to defend the rights of local populations against threats from agro-industry giants, preserving their access to and control over their land.

Join us in advocating for land rights protection and supporting the sustainable management of natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

Sponsorship of Training Programs for Women in Home Fish Farming:

Empowering women is central to our mission at MOFACIG, and our sponsorship of training programs in home fish farming is one way we’re making a difference. These programs provide women in Mukunda Village with the skills and knowledge needed to engage in sustainable fish farming practices, promoting economic empowerment and food security.

Through hands-on training sessions and workshops, women learn about fish husbandry techniques, pond management, and marketing strategies. By developing their expertise in fish farming, women are able to generate income for themselves and their families while contributing to local food production.

Our sponsorship of these training programs is part of our broader commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. By investing in women’s skills and capacities, we’re not only improving livelihoods but also fostering a more inclusive and resilient community.

Join us in supporting women’s empowerment through education and training in home fish farming.

Implementation of the Mulatako Plan:

The Mulatako Plan represents a bold vision for the revitalization and reconstruction of Mukunda Village, aimed at resettling displaced families and restoring the community to its former glory. This comprehensive plan encompasses various projects and initiatives designed to address the diverse needs of the indigenous population.

Key components of the Mulatako Plan include:

  • Construction of low-cost housing: Providing affordable housing options for resettled families, enabling them to return to their ancestral lands with dignity and security.
  • Infrastructure development: Building roads, electrification networks, and water supply systems to enhance the quality of life and promote economic development in the village.
  • Sustainable agriculture: Promoting sustainable farming practices and providing training and resources to support agricultural livelihoods among community members.

Through the implementation of the Mulatako Plan, we’re working towards a future where Mukunda Village thrives as a vibrant and self-sustaining community. Join us in supporting this transformative initiative and making a positive difference in the lives of the indigenous people of Mukunda.

Construction of Borehole Water Supply Systems:

Access to clean and reliable drinking water is a fundamental human right, yet many communities in Mukunda Village lack access to safe water sources. That’s why we’re undertaking the construction of borehole water supply systems to provide portable water to residents and promote public health and well-being.

These borehole water supply systems will serve as a lifeline for the community, providing a sustainable source of clean water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation purposes. By investing in water infrastructure, we’re addressing a critical need and improving the quality of life for hundreds of people in Mukunda Village.

Our efforts also extend beyond infrastructure development to include community training and capacity-building initiatives. We’re training local youth and women in water management and conservation practices, ensuring the long-term sustainability of these vital resources.

Join us in supporting the construction of borehole water supply systems and ensuring access to clean water for all residents of Mukunda Village.
